ABOUT OUR CAMPAIGN

The Campaign was first launched in 2016 to encourage memberof  the public to remember animals lost in the line of duty, and to ensure that their loyalty and courage was not forgotten

OVER 1,000 POPPIES SOLD

The appeal was an overwhelming success, showing just how passionate members of the public felt about remembering the animals, alongside their human counterparts.

Over 1,000 poppies were hand made by our wonderful team of volunteers, all of whom  donated their time and materials,  and nearly £2,500 raised.

SACRIFICES MADE

Our Founder Andy Smith comments ‘As an animal charity we strongly believe that animals lost whilst serving should be remembered. We want to acknowledge the sacrifices that they have made, and continue to make, and ensure they are not forgotten. We were overwhelmed by the response last year and hope that this years’ campaign will be an even greater success’.

POLICE DOG FINN

The choice was inspired by the story of PD Finn who was stabbed and badly injured whilst on duty.

Thankfully Finn went on to make a full recovery and is now happily retired, but it was his very moving story which led us to choose Fireside K9 for this years' appeal.

Here's Finn wearing his purple poppy with pride.
